Menyailo promised Medvedev to put the roads of Sevastopol in order by 2020
In Sevastopol, 43% of roads and 60% of bridges do not meet regulatory requirements. Governor Sergei Menyailo announced this today at a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

“For 2015–2020, the city budget provides annually 1 billion 269 million rubles of funding. 300 million rubles for road maintenance, 300 million rubles for routine repairs of roads, 515 million rubles for major repairs,” Menyailo said.
According to the governor, current repairs of 42 roads are planned this year; it has already been completed at 14 sites; the rest will be completed by October 1. A major overhaul of 12 highways and one bridge is also planned. In addition, it is planned to build and reconstruct two highways and two transport interchanges.
“Provided that funding from the Sevastopol budget is maintained until 2020, 70% of roads will be brought to regulatory requirements. If we receive an additional 500 million annually, we will bring almost 2020% of roads to standard conditions by 100,” Menyailo said.
The length of roads in Sevastopol is 976 km.
