Menyailo ordered to pay special attention to the school security system. “The question is burning. It might even be worth considering a single service provider. Surveillance cameras are an element of the Safe School system. Installation work must be completed before September 1. Safety is the main thing,” Menyailo said.
According to Vice-Governor Alexander Reshetnikov, there are 160 educational institutions in Sevastopol, including 77 kindergartens and 66 secondary schools. 143 institutions received positive conclusions from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which is 90% of their total number.
All Sevastopol schools and kindergartens will receive licenses before the start of the new school year. The only exceptions were kindergartens of the Black Sea Fleet, said Mikhail Rodikov, director of the education department.
“Not one of the kindergartens of the Black Sea Fleet applied for a license. Formally, their deadline has been extended, but in fact I think this is not entirely correct,” Rodikov said.
Sergei Menyailo agreed with him. “If they don’t apply, we have to pull them out and force them to do it,” the governor said.
