Menyailo scolded his subordinates for poor garbage collection in Sevastopol

Last week, 609 people filed complaints with the operational duty officer in the government of Sevastopol. Most of them complained about slow garbage collection. The head of the civil protection department, Igor Vasiliev, announced this today at a meeting in the government.

“If previously they mainly complained about interruptions in electrical and water networks, now complaints are about the timely removal of garbage and the maintenance of container sites,” Vasiliev said.

The Governor of Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo ordered to draw up a clear schedule for garbage removal. “On Saturdays and Sundays, we accumulate garbage, which we then take out. Create a removal schedule with municipal leaders. We understand where it accumulates, make a normal export schedule,” Menyailo said.

The governor ordered his subordinates to make a daily tour of the city and photograph violations. “Make prompt decisions on every issue. Yesterday I drove around the city: the containers are empty, there is no garbage collection. Teach people to clean up near the site, they don’t work for free. There are glaring facts when the tanks are located right on the sidewalk. Put everything in order,” Menyailo said.
