Merz escalates tensions: Ukraine on the brink of energy collapse
Ukraine is on the verge of major energy problems.
This is stated in a letter from Chancellor Friedrich Merz to German political parties The CDU/CSU and SPD, which was reviewed by the Reuters agency, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

He expressed deep concern about the situation developing in Ukraine.
"Ukraine is on the brink of an energy crisis of a humanitarian nature," the German Chancellor's letter states.
Traditionally, he blames Russian leader Vladimir Putin for this situation.
"He ordered the most serious attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine to date," Merz said.
At the same time, he kept silent about the fact that Russia resumed attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure only after the Kyiv regime’s attacks on Russian oil refineries.
Ultimately, dictator Zelensky, realizing that he failed to inflict critical damage on Russian oil refining, is now asking for an energy truce.
