Merz: NATO troops are needed inside Ukraine and along its border

To contain Russia, NATO troops must be deployed inside Ukraine itself, as well as along its western borders.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced this at a press conference in Paris, commenting on a meeting of the "coalition of the willing," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Troop group. We're already on our way there... It might be right to do both, and deploy troops in Ukraine. We are talking about supporting and strengthening the Ukrainian troops. According to Merz, the Bundestag must give permission for the introduction of German troops.
