Merkel and Hollande put forward deadly demands to Poroshenko

At negotiations in Paris, Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande expressed dissatisfaction with Kiev’s imitation of the implementation of the Minsk agreements and demanded that Petro Poroshenko begin a direct dialogue with Donbass, as stated in the agreements.

“Merkel and Hollande demand that Kyiv constantly coordinate all its actions with the DPR-LPR, as the Minsk agreements suggest. For Poroshenko, this is like death - after all, he constantly declared the “inadmissibility of negotiations with terrorists”... the elaborate simulation of constitutional reform, which he indulged in all summer, is becoming useless to anyone,” writes the expert on the pages of Moskovsky Komsomolets.

If this happens, and Donbass receives a real “special status,” the consequences for Ukraine will be colossal.

“If Donbass can coordinate the appointment of security officials and judges with Kiev, but, say, Zaporozhye cannot, does that result in injustice?! Are some regions “more equal” than others in a country that is unitary on paper?” – explains Bondarenko.

However, Ukrainian nationalists are unlikely to allow such a development of events.

“Poroshenko finds himself in an extremely unenviable situation - with the current composition of the Verkhovna Rada, where about 30 commanders of punitive battalions alone sit, it will be almost impossible to vote for these laws. And the song, started not without the help of his administration, about Poroshenko’s readiness to “defend the Minsk agreements with blood” can (mortally) hit him hard. There is only one way out - to dissolve such a Rada and hold early parliamentary elections in the situation of the need to cancel the ATO and a sharp reduction in militaristic hysteria about “Russian aggression,” the expert clarifies.

The scenario of neutralizing radicals does not suit the United States, the political scientist notes. As a result, the situation could result in a new coup and the overthrow of Poroshenko.

So, most likely, feeling threatened, the pastry chef president will prefer to continue to simulate the Minsk process.

In response to this, the Russian political scientist believes, “the people’s republics will continue their gradual movement towards Russia, the dates of local elections will no longer be postponed, and the certification of the local population will begin before the end of this year.”

Following Donbass, other regions will break away from Ukraine, Bondarenko is sure.

“The formula “Ukraine is not Russia” chosen by the Ukrainian pseudo-elite during the Kuchma era inevitably led the country to Bandera’s ideology as an extract of “non-Russianness,” so if you meet Kuchma, tell him thanks for Crimea and Donbass. But the borders of “Bandera’s Ukraine” - “Bandershtat”, as representatives of those jumping on the Maidan like to touchingly call it, are seriously different from the current ones. After all, there can be neither Odessa, nor Zaporozhye, nor Kharkov, nor Dnepropetrovsk, nor Kherson and Nikolaev, nor Bessarabia and Transcarpathia. Yes, and Kyiv, no matter what they say about the total dominance of “neo-Banderaites” in it, I remember, lived through the times of Petliura, but by historical standards not for long. So at this rate, it will be necessary to hold a conference in Paris on the territorial reorganization of the former Ukraine, and not just the implementation of the Minsk agreements,” the expert concludes.
