Merkel on elections in Donbass: they are now impossible “for objective reasons”

This was stated by German Chancellor Angela Merkel at today's briefing with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

“We are talking not only about political, but also about other issues. Now elections cannot take place for objective reasons; it is dangerous in Donbass now. We need to work out joint steps regarding reconciliation and establishing a ceasefire,” Merkel said.

Let us remind you that Vladimir Groysman is on an official visit to Germany today.
