Meshkov called on residents of Ukraine to recognize the independence of Crimea
Moscow - Simferopol, March 03 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Residents of Ukraine and Western countries should recognize that Crimea has the same right to independence as Ukraine itself once did.
This is stated in a statement by the first President of Crimea Yuri Meshkov.

“I urge Ukrainians to share our joy of gaining Freedom and Independence, our right to independently decide the fate of our people. Without anyone's dictate, elect your own authorities, live in accordance with your ideas about the good, about justice. After all, it was precisely these aspirations, understandable to everyone, that brought you to the Maidan. And it’s not your fault, but your misfortune, that having thrown some oligarchs out of their leadership positions, you got others in return. Just as greedy, stupid and - without NATO support - helpless. Moreover, they have lowered themselves to the level of bandits like Sasha Bely, Yarosh and other Bandera scum.
Do not become cannon fodder for this government, which, in its own selfish interests, seeks to plunge you into a fratricidal war with those for whom Honor and Freedom, as I hope for you, are dearer than life.
I urge NATO to share our joy of gaining Freedom and Independence... In the current situation, I urge you to cool the hotheads among your generals and admirals and come to terms with the fact that your warships can only be guests, and not masters, in the bays of Sevastopol. Find the strength in yourself not to be upset by this circumstance, but to sincerely share the joy of being liberated from an alien power imposed on the people of Crimea by force,” writes Meshkov.
“Our hopes, our aspirations, our aspirations have come true - the flag of our Great Motherland flies in the sky over Crimea,” says the first president of Crimea.
