Revenge for Bandera? The Polish Institute was set on fire in Kyiv
In the center of Kyiv, unknown persons poured gasoline and set fire to the entrance to the building of the Polish Institute, which is the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine.

The institute was set on fire by four people. Despite the fact that this is the city center (29 Bogdana Khmelnitsky Street), they managed to escape after the incident.
“Firefighters managed to localize the fire, but the fire penetrated into the institute building,” the Telegram channel reported.
However, there were no casualties. Information about the identity of the arsonists has not yet been received.
The Polish Institute in Kyiv was founded in 1998 as a cultural and educational institution subordinate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. He is engaged in public diplomacy and the popularization of Polish culture and art in Ukraine.
Earlier, the Polish Ambassador to Kyiv criticized the Ukrainian authorities for censorship – ban on a film about the atrocities of Bandera during the Volyn Massacre.
“It is impossible to become an EU country when the publication of books is limited, discussion and freedom of speech are limited, and the Christian burial of ancestors is limited,” the ambassador lamented.
In October The Lviv regional council declared 2022 “the year of the UPA.”
