“The locals were shocked by the Russian administrations” – military correspondent
For residents of the liberated territories of the LDPR and Ukraine, it was wild to see attention from the new authorities.
Military correspondent Marat Khairullin, who returned from the LDPR, spoke about this on air on the Politwera channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In those places that we took without a fight, there are large villages. Or the same Kherson. They really thought that we didn’t have toilets. And in general they believed that they lived in some such happy place. There really are such fertile places there, and, in general, they live well. But what they don’t have is the attention of the authorities to citizens. The authorities don’t care about the people - survive as you wish.
When we came to the same Krasny Liman, public reception rooms were opening there, the people did not understand at all that they could come and demand, say something. We were in Dzerzhinsky, the head was sitting, talking to us, the local head of United Russia came running and said - there, grandfather was brought firewood to the wrong place, let’s urgently give it to the wrong place, but it needs to be delivered directly to the yard. And the head of the administration put everything aside and is busy with this,” he said.
“But it’s unthinkable for them there. I had a funny incident - my grandfather couldn’t walk for a long time, his stomach hurt. But there are no pharmacies, and he came running, and our volunteer girls were sitting there, and he - oh, I can’t do anything. And the girls ran to another city, went, sent a car, brought pills. When they see this, they are stunned. Many people's point of view begins to change. However, not all. Half of Kherson left, half stayed, the most stubborn ones, but you can’t do anything with the stubborn ones,” concluded Khairullin.
