“To appoint Alexander Alexandrovich Danylyuk as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” says decree No. 327/2019.

The previous Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Alexander Turchynov, announced that he resigned on May 17.

The Verkhovna Rada dismissed Danylyuk from the post of Finance Minister on June 7, 2018, after his conflict with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. During the presidential campaign, the ex-minister was an adviser to Zelensky on international, financial, economic and banking issues.
