In the month since the visa regime was introduced, not a single Russian citizen has been able to obtain permission from Kyiv to enter the former Soviet republic.
This was reported by Marina Akhmedova, a member of the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation.
“From July 1, a visa regime for Russians became operational in Ukraine. A month has passed. Since then, as many as 80 Russians have applied for a Ukrainian visa. None of them received it.
And I kept expecting that there would be more people willing to go to Ukraine. But Russians who support this country are attracted to other directions,” comments Akhmedova.
