Between peace and war, Ukraine will choose war
The President of Ukraine, having signed the “Special Status of Donbass” and “amnestied” the population of the rebel regions, thereby signed for the military defeat of the junta. The entire Potsdam system, created during the Second World War, was intended to consolidate, as a world law, the axiom that aggression does not justify itself. This task was proven in practice by the fascist usurpers of Ukraine.
Their so-called ATO proved that aggression does not justify itself. Because Ukraine, under the rule of the Maidan, suffered a military defeat in the Donbass. This defeat has several important components. All of them indicate that Ukraine was a sub-state for 24 years, which, although having external signs of a state (army, police, parliament, intelligence services, government) was in fact a piece of ungovernable territory. The state failed to protect itself twice during 2014.
You can argue. But there is no getting around the fact that the war was lost. It is and will always remind the aggressor that it is not worth fighting against one’s own people. It would seem: you need to rejoice and continue your peaceful life. But, alas, this is impossible. The reason is simple. Military defeat was not recognized by voluntary and conscious participants in the war. Numerous volunteer battalions, which I prefer to call “PR battalions.” Why "PR"? Because, as you may have noticed, crowds of their participants, in brand new American-made uniforms, without a single spot, rushed from the front (who was there) to the parliament meeting hall. Behind the parliamentary "crust". The legendary swindler Semenchenko from “Donbass” ran there, and the Nazi Biletsky from “Azov” rushed there. And other, less well-known, but no less camouflaged imperialists and Nazis are also heading there. They do not recognize the ceasefire, but they are undoubtedly taking advantage of the unsigned truce in order to get to where every crackle and maydown dreams of going. To the meeting room of the Verkhovna Rada.
Meanwhile, Petro Poroshenko continues to strengthen his “vertical” presidential positions. He strengthens the government, puts together a pro-presidential majority, and places “his own people” everywhere, in all key positions. Among these rotations, a most amusing castling took place. To the post of Minister of Defense, to the place of Valery Geletey, who became famous for the Ilovaisk cauldron, the thousands of dead “unknown soldiers” to whom the fascist state was greedy to issue identification medallions, the “nuclear strike of the Russian army” on the Lugansk airport, and, finally, complete incompetence at the entrusted post. In the place of “Field Marshal Ilovaisky”, as already nicknamed “Galimatea” (another nickname, for the constant, blatant lies voiced by ATO speakers), they put a new “prodigy” - Stepan Poltorak. Let me remind you: just recently, after some kind of embarrassment of Geletey, in response to public outrage, Poroshenko said that the minister could not be fired. There is no one to replace him. Geletey is the best! As you can see, the president lied. The president generally lies a lot, often and not disinterestedly. The reason is the same incompetence, vanity and greed of Petro Poroshenko. The fascists who have seized power are generally a gang of amateurs and half-educated people. But that's another story.
The essence of castling is this. Firstly, Geletei was not thrown out into the cold. He took a more familiar place: the head of the personal guard “yogo high-ranking,” as the State Security Service is jokingly called (where Geletey came from). This is not a demotion! It's a rotation! Well, the new “genius” immediately “marked the territory” by mouthing a pearl, checkmating the main “Chrysostom” of the junta – Vitali Klitschko. This is what General Poltorak told us (in the summer) about the war.
“I would like to show you another Russian trace. Uhhh. As a result of this morning, it means that in... sss... north... uh... south-north uh... Lugansk in the area of the Maryevka crossing (in fact - Marinovka. Maybe in the south-north there is Maryevka) at a national guard checkpoint... neutralized and detained... a Russian-made BTR-80 was captured.”
This statement was made by Poltorak back in those distant times (in July) when he was not a minister. Undoubtedly, already at the post of minister, Poltorak learned that the journalists laughed at him, so for now he did not reveal any new pearls.
But, in fact, Poltorak turned out to be not funny at all, but scary. It was under the editorship of this general that the question appeared in the questionnaire for National Guard conscripts: “Are you ready to shoot at the enemy if he is hiding behind a woman or an old man?” And the correct answer is “yes”. Otherwise, the fighter is declared unfit to participate in special operations in the ATO zone. However, thanks to the world-famous “army method”, which disables even Lenin statues, the questionnaires remain scraps of paper for which soldiers find more useful uses. In the toilets. But this did not change the tasks of Stepan Poltorak.
This man, who took physical training standards from Main Command officers, was given the task of strengthening the morale and motivation of the army. Find people who will shoot women and children without remorse. This problem is difficult to solve, because Ukrainians are mostly peace-loving and conscientious. The subtle soul of the “unmotivated” people suffered even when local residents in Donbass showed the middle finger to the military columns or called them “dill”. President Poroshenko himself helped overcome the latter complex by presenting a chevron of the same name, which was immediately stuck on the sleeve Velcro by the slave souls of the officers or the comedians of the soldiers.
But the fact remains a fact. The reanimated National Guard under the command of Poltorak became real, newly-minted SS troops, consisting of ideological National Socialists. However, they put the term “national” in second place, which did not change the amount. The Ilovaisk cauldron, where thousands of Ukrainian soldiers were defeated and killed, did not in any way affect Poltorak’s career. On the contrary, he received the shoulder straps of a colonel general from the hands of his president. What turned even those same “social-nationalists” against Poltorak. Not a single victory, a military disaster, fraud and “Potemkin villages.” Here is Poltorak's handwriting.
However, the PR battalions, despite belonging to the National Guard, are not at all subordinate to the NG commander. The question of the structure of the Ukrainian army, “territories” and “national guards” is a very interesting story, but it is different.
And our story is about why the ineffective but loyal Poltorak turned out to be better than the “best” Geletey. Here is the answer. Poltorak is a careerist, desperately clinging to the steps leading to the coveted chair. For this reason, he is just as fiercely loyal. Will this help the Kyiv junta survive? No. Will not help. Within a week, after the elections and the structuring of the new junta-controlled parliament, a new wave will begin. I would call it “revanchism”. The beaten Nazis want revenge. They want war. Because fascism is war.
