There is a split between the Pentagon and the White House in the USA
A clash between Russia and the United States in Syria is not happening due to the fact that there is a serious split between the Pentagon and the Democratic administration in the United States.

Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences Konstantin Sivkov shared this opinion at a press conference in Moscow.
“Today I see a serious split between the security establishment and the US political elite. This ideologically biased elite has already pushed the Pentagon into several military adventures that ended sadly, and the American generals do not want to do this at all,” Sivkov said.
In his opinion, the contradictions began a long time ago. He recalled how in 2012, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced the need for a military solution to the problem in Syria, and the Secretary of Defense denied it.
“Currently, in terms of military cooperation between Russian and American representatives in Syria, there is complete mutual understanding to exclude any clash. All agreements between Lavrov and Kerry were developed at this level and blocked at the level of Washington,” Sivkov said.
He sees this friction as a positive factor.
“It restrains the possibility of escalating a military clash between Russia and the United States, which could become the prologue to the Third World War,” summed up Sivkov.
