According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, the report states that thousands of people were detained by Islamists for no apparent reason, prisoners were subjected to brutal violence solely because of their nationality, while two thirds of the killed and wounded Serbs had nothing to do with the war. Data on killed Serbs in Sarajevo range from 2 thousand 600 to 3 thousand 300 killed.

“The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) of Alija Izetbegovic planned a campaign of terror against the Serbs at the highest state level and carried it out jointly with a controlled criminal community, which included all Bosniak state institutions,” the document says. – Conducting a criminal campaign against the Sarajevo Serbs, the SDA recruited and armed organized crime figures, convicts, rapists and drug addicts who were released from prison thanks to the amnesty of Alija Izetbegovic.

One of the specific aspects of the terrorist campaign was the creation of a huge network of private prisons in which the most terrible atrocities (torture and gang rape) were committed.”

The document also states that 800 Sarajevo Serbs were reported missing and that 260 of them have not been found to this day. The commission estimated that the number of missing could be even higher because entire families were killed and those who survived may not have reported the disappearances of their loved ones, so many missing were neither identified nor counted.

“Institutions led by Bosniak SDA officials made enormous efforts to cover up crimes against Serbian citizens,” the report said.

A campaign of discrimination and terror preceded the crimes. This, it adds, was preceded by a campaign of discrimination and demonization of Serbs, who were excluded and repressed as citizens whose lives did not matter. Immediately after BiH declared independence, the SDA began dismissing Serbs from important positions, replacing them with reliable Muslims.

The International Commission said in its report that the Serbs in Sarajevo were under a double blockade - an external blockade that followed the demarcation line between Bosniak and Serb forces and affected all residents of the city, and an internal, insurmountable blockade created by Bosniak forces, aimed exclusively at the Serbs.

For example, all humanitarian aid arriving in the city was controlled by the SDA, which discriminated against the Serbs. Thus, according to international experts, the UN has become a de facto supplier for Muslims and the Bosniak army, so the Commission considers it inappropriate to call Sarajevo a “besieged city.”

In its report, the Commission focuses on the media campaign against the Serbian people and states that the media and non-governmental organizations have played an important role in demonizing the Serbs by spreading false news and focusing on and sympathizing with the suffering of Muslims while ignoring the suffering of the Serbs.

“The Serb population of the city, which was considered tolerant and international, was completely destroyed by those who continue to call themselves the main victims of the conflict,” the report says.

The members of the International Independent Commission of Inquiry into the Suffering of the Serbs in Sarajevo between 1991 and 1995 were Rafael Israeli of Israel, Giuseppe Zaccaria of Italy, Viktor Bezruchenko of Russia, Lawrence French of the United States, Patrick Barriault of France and Darko Tanaskovic of Serbia.
