International organizations will purchase medicines for the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in the amount of 5,9 billion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Acting Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun, the department’s press service reports.
According to her, in April the Ministry of Health signed an agreement with the UN Fund (UNICEF) and the Crown Agents agency.
“We have been cooperating with the UN Development Program (UNICEF) and the Crown Agents agency for 4 years now... This is 5,9 billion hryvnia - funds from the state budget,” Suprun said.
She also noted that purchases are carried out in 40 areas of the State Treatment Program.
According to Deputy Minister of Health Olga Stefanishina, in 2018, contracts introduced a phased form of payment for procurement programs.
On April 20, another 800 thousand doses of the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine from the UN Children's Fund UNICEF were delivered to Ukraine.
