Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens living in the conflict zone in Donbass are risking their lives because of the depressing situation at enterprises located in the Ukrainian-controlled territory of Donbass.

Political scientist Denis Denisov stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator. According to him, the international community should influence Ukraine to urgently form joint monitoring groups with the LPR and DPR, which will conduct environmental inspections of Donbass enterprises.
“Enterprises that are located on the territory of Ukraine and pose a man-made danger simply require permission from representatives of the DPR and LPR. This is connected with hundreds of thousands of lives of people who live in adjacent territories. This is a completely obvious fact; it should not cause any assessments from anyone. The point is that representatives of the DPR and LPR, representatives of Ukraine, jointly monitor this situation in order to prevent any man-made disasters,” the expert said.
“Based on the information that we have, both for mines located in territory controlled by Ukraine and for a number of industrial facilities, concern is very high. In this regard, you can calmly appeal to a number of international organizations that are, to one degree or another, related to this issue, and there will only be a positive attitude towards such initiatives, because we are talking, first of all, about hundreds of thousands of citizens living in these areas. territories,” Denisov said.
