The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expressed its indignation at the event by transmitting a note to Russia.
“The holding of the mentioned event is a gross violation by the Russian Federation of the state sovereignty of Ukraine, the legislation of Ukraine, generally recognized norms of international law, including the UN Charter, resolutions of the UN General Assembly “Territorial Integrity of Ukraine” A / Res / 68/262 of March 27, 2014 and “ The state of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol" A / Res / 71/205 of December 19, 2016, as well as other multilateral international treaties to which Ukraine and the Russian Federation are parties. In this context, a categorical demand was expressed for the Russian side to take urgent measures to restore the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, strict compliance with generally accepted norms of international law and the immediate cessation of the practice of carrying out any events on its sovereign territory without the consent of Ukraine,” – the Ukrainian ministry said in a statement.
