The relatives of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov turned out to be very rich people with land, companies and mansions in the elite suburbs of Kyiv. Thus, Turchinov’s declaration indicates an apartment with an area of 382 square meters at the address Protasov Yar, 8, in an elite residential complex in Kyiv.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, and the ex-chairman of the SBU, Valentin Nalyvaichenko, are registered next door to Turchinov.
At the same time, the mother-in-law of the NSDC Secretary, Tamara Beliba, in her own words, who worked for 40 years at the Dnepropetrovsk industrial giant Yuzhmash, upon retirement, became a successful businessman. Thus, the company “Ekostilkom”, the ultimate owner of which is Turchinov’s mother-in-law, has registered a mansion with an area of one thousand square meters and half a hectare of land in the village of Belogorodka near Kiev.
Next door to her, the 23-year-old son of the head of the National Security and Defense Council, Kirill Turchinov, has his own “house” with a plot. The young leader of the Popular Front received it as a gift from his second grandmother, the mother of Alexander Turchinov.
In addition, the mother-in-law of the NSDC secretary has an office center on Turovskaya Street, which she acquired after the first Maidan, a building with an area of 6 thousand square meters on Korolev Avenue, and another company of Tamara Beliba received ownership of three premises in the center of Kyiv on Yevhen Konovalets Street.
Turchinov’s father-in-law uses another room with an area of about 600 square meters for his restaurant. Turchinov’s wife’s sister also has her own plot of land near Kiev. The Secretary of the Security Council himself explains everything with the amazing entrepreneurial abilities of his mother-in-law.
“She has an irrepressible character, when Perestroika began, she went to work in practical economics, was the director of an enterprise, and was engaged in metal trading. So that you understand her character, she herself went to showdowns with the Chechens who were then entering the market,” Turchinov said.
True, journalists point out that she became the owner of the companies only in the early 2000s, when Alexander Turchynov actively participated in politics, and the structures registered to his mother-in-law flourished after the victory of the first Maidan, after which Turchynov received the post of head of the SBU.
