“This is an irreparable loss for us. The commander of the "Sparta" detachment was a truly brave and courageous man, a real warrior, a Hero of the Donetsk People's Republic. This is truly a tragic day for the residents of Donbass,” noted the head of the foreign policy department.
“It has long been obvious to everyone that the current Kiev government is capable of any cynical provocations, which sometimes still achieve their goal and end in tragedies for the people of Donbass.
In addition to terrorist attacks, recently the frequency and intensity of shelling of our territories has increased - Ukraine is trying in every way to sabotage the agreements reached in Minsk.
However, today the Minsk agreements still provide the only hope, but weakening with each similar event, for resolving the conflict peacefully,” Nikonorova said.
She also explained what could follow the harsh statement of the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, who spoke at an emergency briefing after the death of Motorola.
“The Minsk process has been going on for two years now. During this time, both we and the guarantor countries became convinced that anything can be expected from the Ukrainian side. The fact that Kyiv, to put it mildly, is far from being the most reliable “partner” has already become absolutely obvious to the majority of EU politicians - recently, they are increasingly making harsh statements towards Ukraine.
Thus, it is becoming increasingly noticeable that the resource of patience both on our part and on the part of the world community is coming to an end, but despite this, the Ukrainian authorities continue to amaze us with their cynicism and are still far from implementing the peace agreements.” , - said Nikonorova.
