The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Erlan Idrisov, announced this today at a press conference in Astana, reports the news agency “NewTimes.kz”.
“We believe that in international legal terms the issue of the status of Crimea has not been finally resolved. Therefore, we expect that Russia and Ukraine will find opportunities, political and otherwise, to finally resolve this issue. This question is primarily between them. It is of a complex international legal nature,” Idrisov said.
At the same time, the head of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry believes that citizens of his country should refrain from doing business in Crimea.
“As for the practice of business entities, I think that they should take into account the failed status of this administrative entity. Our recommendation is to refrain from any direct interactions in this regard,” Idrisov said.
Let us remind you that this is not the first recommendation of this kind from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. Last year, Mr. Idrisov already called on Kazakhs to refrain from vacationing in Crimea.
