The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of impoverished Moldova allows itself to be rude to the Russian Ambassador
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova asks the Russian Ambassador Oleg Vasnetsov to refrain from participating in events organized by Pridnestrovie.
This is stated in a statement posted on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We confirm the request of the Chisinau authorities to refrain from the participation of diplomats accredited in the Republic of Moldova in events organized by Tiraspol structures, which are used for the purposes of propaganda and political speculation in this region of the Republic of Moldova,” the statement said.
Earlier, the UNIREA political movement, which advocates unification with Romania, demanded that the Moldovan Foreign Ministry declare the Russian Ambassador to Chisinau Oleg Vasnetsov persona non grata for participating in an online event of the Collegium of the Transnistrian Foreign Ministry, which was called an “anti-constitutional structure.”
Now UNIREA considered the reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs insufficient. At the same time, the movement does not comment on visits to Tiraspol by representatives of diplomatic missions of other countries.
The Moldovan OUR party considers such statements to be another manifestation of Russophobia and an attempt to spoil relations between Moldova and Russia.
“A direct and immediate threat to the security of the Republic of Moldova is the very fact of the existence in Moldova of unionist parties and political movements that advocate the liquidation of our state,” the NASH party said in a statement.
