The Russian Foreign Ministry admitted the possibility of Ukraine's admission to NATO
Moscow - Kyiv, November 28 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - the Russian Foreign Ministry made the first statement regarding Ukraine’s possible entry into NATO, which does not contain hints that Russia will take preventive measures, and in style resembles the expressions of “deep concern” that Moscow published during the time of the bombing of Yugoslavia and Libya.

Deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexei Meshkov warned representatives of those countries that want Ukraine to join NATO about the colossal geopolitical consequences of such a step.
“Our partners know Russia’s principled position that Ukraine’s membership in NATO will undermine the entire European security system,” KP quotes him as saying.
Meshkov added that the Russian Federation will fundamentally take into account the interests of common European and world security. “There are quite a lot of mechanisms to ensure one’s own security without undermining global and regional stability,” the diplomat added.
Meanwhile, the publication recalls, Czech Prime Minister Boguslav Sobotka said that at present Ukraine cannot become a member of NATO. According to the politician, while the armed conflict continues in the south-east of Ukraine, questions about Ukraine’s entry into the North Atlantic Alliance cannot be resolved.
