“Unfortunately, the current confrontation between the branches of power in Moldova does not allow us to fully implement the initiatives of the president of the republic and more widely reveal the potential of Russian-Moldovan cooperation,” Zakharova said.
She recalled that the government and parliament of Moldova regularly organize anti-Russian demarches.
“Despite this, the Russian side is committed to long-term friendly partnerships with neutral Moldova, based on long-standing historical ties between our peoples. We hope that the current difficult stage will be overcome. We wish the president success in his activities for the benefit of the Moldovan people, strengthening Russian-Moldovan cooperation,” Zakharova said.
