The Russian Foreign Ministry responded to the Kosovo status of “persona non grata” for Mikhail Krasnoshchekov
Official Moscow considers the actions of the Kosovo authorities, who declared “persona non grata” a citizen of the Russian Federation, an employee of the UN Mission in Kosovo Mikhail Krasnoshchekov, who had previously been kidnapped and beaten by Kosovo special forces, as “a continuation of an open line to aggravate interethnic relations in the region, contempt for international norms of diplomatic communication” , reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
This is stated in the commentary of the Department of Information and Press of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the department’s website.
“Essentially, this is a demonstration of Pristina’s disdain for the UN, a precedent that will have far-reaching consequences. It is impossible not to see that such steps became possible only in conditions of indulgence of the Kosovars by the West,” added the Russian MIL.
The department assured that the Russian Federation will continue to take all necessary actions to protect its citizens in accordance with international law and national legislation.
Recall as PolitNavigator reported, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic visited Mihail Krasnoshekov at the Military Medical Academy hospital in Belgrade, where he is being treated after being beaten by Kosovo special forces.
