Russian Foreign Ministry: Poroshenko crossed out Minsk-2, the “war party” has a free hand
Official Kyiv confirmed its focus on a forceful solution to the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine on February 24, when the scandalous law on the so-called “reintegration of Donbass” came into force. This is stated in the commentary of the Department of Information and Press of the Russian Foreign Ministry, published today.

“By signing the mentioned law, Poroshenko actually crossed out the Minsk agreements, freeing the hands of the “war party.” The document creates conditions for the forcible seizure of territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions uncontrolled by Kiev, and legalizes the use of the Ukrainian army against civilians,” the commentary says.
The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that the practical application of this law risks a serious escalation of the situation in the South-East of Ukraine.
“We hope that its Western curators are aware of this and will be able to use the influence they have on Kyiv in order to prevent the implementation of a disastrous scenario for Ukrainian statehood, fraught with unpredictable consequences for European stability and security,” the commentary says.
