Russian Foreign Ministry: The United States is pushing Ukraine into provocations against Russia
The United States and its allies are stepping up efforts to contain Russia.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced this today in the State Duma, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Recently, the United States and its allies, having completely forgotten the culture of diplomacy, are redoubling their efforts to contain our country. In addition to illegitimate sanctions, political pressure on Russia is being increased. It is enough to look at the conduct of increasingly provocative military maneuvers near our borders, at the drawing of the Kyiv regime into the NATO orbit, supplying it with lethal weapons and pushing it to carry out provocations against the Russian Federation. Against this background, demands to stop conducting exercises on our own territory, to which we have an indisputable right, sound especially cynical,” Lavrov said.
