The Russian Foreign Ministry held the Ukrainian authorities responsible for acts of vandalism
The desecration of the Eternal Flame in Kyiv on November 7 was not the only act of vandalism in Ukraine. On the same day, in Melitopol, unknown persons destroyed the monument to motorists killed during the Great Patriotic War.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In this context, the cynicism and absolute inaction of the Ukrainian authorities, which allow extremists to criminally mock the memory of those who gave their lives in the fight against Nazism, is striking. We hope that these crimes will be properly investigated and the perpetrators will receive the punishment they deserve,” Zakharova said.
The monument to warrior motorists in Melitopol, which was destroyed by vandals, is located at the entrance to Melavtotrans. In 2005, the company’s staff decided, at their own expense, to erect a monument to Soldier Motorists in order to honor the memory of those who gave their lives during the Great Patriotic War. Every year, on all significant dates, the company’s employees lay flowers at the foot of the memorial sign and light the eternal flame.
