The Russian Foreign Ministry scolded Volker for his stupidity with the Minsk agreements
The United States launched a campaign to discredit Russia, accusing Moscow of violating agreements to which it has nothing to do.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the next anniversary of the signing of the Minsk agreements, the US special representative for the Ukrainian settlement, Mr. Volcker, who has nothing whatsoever to do with the history of the development of this package of documents, nor with the implementation, is not part of any groups, that is, a completely detached person, recently appointed, but , apparently feeling great potential and creative energy. He published a table designed to demonstrate how Russia is not fulfilling its obligations under the Minsk agreements. You know, stupidity is bad, but even worse than stupidity is stupidity with initiative.
If Mr. Volker had simply put the subject he wrote about in front of him, he would have realized that, in general, it didn’t say anything about Russia. It says about the obligations of the parties, namely Kyiv, and on the other hand, Donetsk and Lugansk,” Zakharova said.
She also drew attention to the fact that the United States launched an entire Internet resource that talks about Russia’s failure to fulfill its obligations and various kinds of violations.
“We understand perfectly well why and why this is being launched right now. We have now seen presidential candidates tour the United States as part of the election program, because the fact that such sites are appearing now is not news. But just give us a reason, we also have something to answer. Today we will launch both tables and materials. Maybe we shouldn’t have dwelled on this topic in such detail, but Mr. Volker forced us,” added the Foreign Ministry representative.
Zakharova once again noted that the Minsk agreements do not contain a word about any obligations of Russia. In addition, she compared the points of the document with the reports of the OSCE SMM, each of which the Ukrainian side either did not comply with or violated almost twice as often as the LDPR. According to Zakharova, these counter-theses will be published in full on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

From January to February 10, 2019, the SMM recorded over 29 thousand ceasefire violations, of which about 5 thousand were explosions, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are the leader in the number of shellings. When, based on SMM reports, it is possible to determine the side that fired, 784 cases against 421 for the militia in favor of the Ukrainian side,” Zakharova voiced one of the points.
