Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this today at a briefing in Sevastopol.
“The Russian Foreign Ministry is doing everything possible to encourage people who so boldly talk about the problems of Crimea and Sevastopol from international platforms to still bother to come and see this land for themselves. It is very easy to draw conclusions based on fake news and social media accounts that are not true. But it’s better to have courage, come here and see,” Zakharova said.
She noted that there are many problems in Crimea, but Russia has the will to solve them.
“The path that Crimea has taken as part of the Russian Federation is unprecedented. Show me another territory that could, in the shortest possible time, under pressure from the international community, under wild sanctions, in an atmosphere of total misunderstanding and absolutely unfair condemnation, develop, get back on its feet and, by and large, start its journey from scratch in many ways . Because we all know how much the development of Crimea as part of Ukraine was thrown back,” Zakharova said
According to her, foreigners who have visited Crimea over the past three years are not silent when returning to their homeland.
“Even if they are not given a platform, information still leaks out,” Zakharova said.
