Having received another portion of support from the United States and the European Union, the Kyiv authorities launched a massive offensive against peaceful cities and civilians in Eastern Ukraine.
As a result of artillery shelling by Ukrainian security forces in Gorlovka, 17 civilians were killed, including three children. A school building was destroyed by a direct hit from a Ukrainian shell. Several shells hit the territory of the city hospital, and there was damage to the buildings of the maternity ward. The city is in mourning. We mourn together with the residents of this glorious mining town. We are convinced that those responsible for this terrible crime will not escape responsibility.
Today the Ukrainian army began a massive shelling of the center of Donetsk. Explosions and gunshots are heard in this city. There are shell hits in courtyards and residential buildings. Explosions were also heard in the area of the city hospital. Townspeople are hiding en masse in bomb shelters, and the railway station is being evacuated. Three shells hit the city park of culture and recreation.
We appeal to our Western partners to influence the presumptuous Kyiv authorities. Responsibility for the victims of civilians in the East of Ukraine also lies with those who support these criminal actions,” the Foreign Ministry emphasizes.
