Russian Foreign Ministry: MANPADS from Ukraine will be distributed to terrorists throughout Europe
The anti-aircraft installations that the West intends to supply to Ukraine to combat the Russian Aerospace Forces will become uncontrolled and will ultimately end up in the hands of terrorists, posing a threat to air travel in Europe.
Permanent Representative of Russia Vasily Nebenzya stated this at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
“Almost every day we see reports from Western capitals about new deliveries of new shipments of all kinds of weapons to Kyiv. Just yesterday, Washington announced that this week it will transfer $1 billion in defense assistance to Ukraine. You are adding gasoline to the conflict.
It is already obvious what a tragedy the uncontrolled distribution of simple light weapons to everyone has led to. Are Western voters and taxpayers aware of the risks of these weapons, including MANPADS, reaching terrorist groups in Europe?
And in general, do you realize the danger of heating up the situation in Ukraine for your own security? Everyone has read the news about a drone loaded with explosives that crashed in Croatia and flown in from Ukraine. By the way, it went unnoticed, although it flew over several countries, and from the westernmost point of Ukraine to Zagreb is over 700 kilometers,” the diplomat recalled.
