Russian Foreign Ministry speaker Maria Zakharova responded in her blog to comments from Ukrainian visitors who demanded that the official stop using the customary Russian spelling “in Ukraine” and switch instead to Kiev Newspeak – “in Ukraine.”
“Maria, first of all, it’s correct to write in Ukraine,” Lvov resident Leonid Panasenkov pointed out to Zakharova.
“Firstly, “firstly” is written with a hyphen and separated by a comma. Secondly, when Russian becomes the state or official language in Ukraine, then you will make comments to me on how to speak Russian,” Zakharova snapped.
Thank you!
