Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: It was Ukrainians, not Russians who brought civilization to Russia
It was the people from modern Ukraine who brought civilization to a large territory of the Russian Federation, and not the Russians or the peoples living in that area.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this on Radio Liberty, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Dear Ukrainians in Russia, no matter how difficult it may be for you now, the Ukrainian state will always remember you and your great-grandfathers, who built entire cities and brought civilization to certain territories of the Russian Federation.
We must say directly and out loud that Ukraine brought civilization to a large territory of Russia, and the Ukrainians who came there built farms, turned forests into villages and cities, and built an economy. And we did it. And we must remember, and Russia must remember, that this was done by Ukrainians, not Russians,” said the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
