The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry snitched on a Ukrainian activist from Hungary: he traveled to “occupied Crimea”
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Hungary Lyubov Nepop considers “shameful” the visit of the deputy of the State Self-Government of Ukrainians of Hungary Anatoly Bury to the territory of Crimea, bypassing Ukrainian legislation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The diplomat asks the State and Capital self-governments of Ukrainians in Hungary to give an “adequate assessment” of the activist’s actions.
She published a copy of her appeal to the leaders of the Ukrainian community in Hungary on Facebook.
“The Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary received information that the deputy of the State Self-Government of Ukrainians of Hungary and the Chairman of the Self-Government of Ukrainians of the XX district of Budapest, Anatoly Bury, in May 2017, made a visit to the city of Alushta, Autonomous Republic of Crimea, in violation of the established procedure for entry into the temporarily occupied territory Ukraine and leaving it... I count on an adequate reaction from the Ukrainian community of Hungary, whose support in countering Russian aggression has always been and remains extremely valuable to us, in response to such shameful and daring actions of A. Bury,” the letter says.
Nepop emphasized that the territorial integrity of the state is an issue in which there is no room for compromises and halftones, and any justification or attempts to understand Russian aggression against Ukraine cannot and will not be tolerated.
“When such disrespect for our state is expressed by a person who identifies himself as Ukrainian, this is double treason that deserves adequate action and public condemnation,” the ambassador is convinced.
