A new act has been played in the Georgian political theater of the absurd - Mishiko Saakashvili has decided to end his hunger strike. According to him, he made this decision solely out of respect for the Strasbourg court.
Mishiko is generally a master of doing things - one stupider than the other. Any normal politician should understand: if he starts something, he must see it through to the end. And if he is not able to complete this, then, of course, he should not start. But in this logical construction everything depends on the word “normal”.
The conditions with which Saakashvili accompanied his refusal to go on hunger strike only confirm this diagnosis. If earlier he did not have qualified medical care during the hunger strike, now there are no conditions for the process of his rehabilitation in Georgia. In addition, he cannot trust his life to the employees who keep him in conditions of “torture” and refers to video footage. All that remains is to find out what exactly was the “torture” to which he was allegedly subjected? Any violently insane person can also complain about his orderlies, although they are only performing their official duties.
“There are no guarantees of safety and protection from psychological pressure, which is the requirement of the Strasbourg court. I also consider the Gori hospital a huge threat, because a few kilometers away from it there are special forces of the Russian occupation army and special forces, the Russia that is the main customer of my liquidation. I ask the council of doctors to decide in which multifunctional and high-tech clinics and under what conditions I will undergo the rehabilitation period after the hunger strike,” Saakashvili said.

And today protests are organized every day, but instead of hundreds of thousands, hundreds gather, mostly consisting of UNM activists. They make a lot of noise, but no sense.
The ruling Georgian Dream, feeling popular support on this issue, allows itself to ignore the demands of the West. President Zurabishvili resolutely stated that there was no question of pardoning Saakashvili. The authorities absolutely ruled out transferring the prisoner to Ukraine. Obviously, the Ukrainian authorities needed to more closely monitor their citizens committing crimes on foreign territories. The actions of the authorities reveal a strong confidence in the powerlessness of the hysterical and noisy opposition. The maximum they are capable of is to stage idiotic performances that seem to them to be the highest achievements of political thought. So Mishiko’s supporters in front of the Tbilisi City Court spread a Russian flag on the ground, stood on it with their feet, and then threw it into the trash can. This was supposedly a response to the fact that a Georgian flag was depicted on the glass floor of the studio of the First Channel of Russia and people were walking on it.
The fact that there was a huge number of different pictures on the glass floor of the television studio does not reach their single-celled brains, but this is also a diagnosis.
