Ukrainian blogger pauluskp reports this on LiveJournal.
The blogger provides a scan of the response from the migration service, which was received in Poltava by a resident of Yasinovataya, who tried to obtain a biometric passport by providing the migration service with an internal passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
“Your identity has not been identified, your citizenship of Ukraine has not been confirmed,” the blogger quotes the officials’ response.
“Ukraine is not a legal state. In Ukraine, millions of people are deprived of basic civil rights simply on the basis of belonging to a certain region. In Ukraine, these people are actually deprived of citizenship, declaring them non-citizens even if they have a passport. It has long been a question not only of everyday discrimination, but of discrimination carried out en masse, within the framework of state policy,” he was indignant.
