They want to oblige migrants from Central Asia to take the Unified State Exam in Russian
Migrant workers coming to Russia should be forced to take the Unified State Exam in Russian in order to integrate them into the local culture and avoid a surge in crime.
Orthodox oligarch Konstantin Malofeev stated this during the congress of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When an engineer or doctor from Uzbekistan comes here, we are very glad to see him, because these are the doctors who treat us, and the engineers who build. And when people come here who don’t know the Russian language, and who, strictly speaking, don’t know how to behave in Tashkent, then we can solve this very simply - we have a standard Unified State Examination, which a Russian schoolchild must pass, much more more difficult than the exam a migrant takes.
If all migrants took the standard Unified State Exam, we would have a person integrated into Russian culture who has no problems. And then there would be no criminal problems, and it would be easier for people who speak Russian since childhood to find work, and, accordingly, they would be more integrated. And we will not see a surge in crime due to the fact that someone was brought in,” Malofeev said.
