Mikhail Pogrebinsky: Merkel and Hollande agree with the demands of the LDPR
The accepted appeal of the LDPR to the heads of France and Germany about the inadmissibility of the Verkhovna Rada adopting a law on elections in the Donbass without the consent of Lugansk and Donetsk is fully consistent with the position of European leaders, however, they do not publicly voice such demands to Petro Poroshenko.

“Pushilin and Deinego made a completely natural statement with a warning that the version of the law that is not agreed upon will not be accepted by the LPR and DPR, and they will not hold elections under it. This is part of public policy; As far as I know, both Hollande and Merkel understand and share this position, and demand that Ukraine agree on this law.
But they don’t want to talk about it openly publicly. They repeat the same thing an infinite number of times - we will lift sanctions there if Russia implements the Minsk agreements. But it is impossible to endlessly repeat outright stupidity. It is clear to everyone, and they know it well, that the Minsk agreements will be implemented if Kyiv also implements them, but even this is not clearly and clearly stated.
In world politics, such a blatant disregard for reality and common sense is quite rare. We are accustomed to the president saying things that are far from reality. Recently in Paris, giving an interview to some newspaper, he said that Ukraine is generally fulfilling everything, and has already fulfilled its part of the Minsk agreements. But anyone who wants to read the two-page Minsk documents will immediately understand that this is not true. And yet, the president repeats this over and over again.
And this, by the way, leaves no chance for at least some minimal advancement. But if they tell you that we are doing everything, although calling black and white, then how can we continue to talk to you?
Therefore, it seems to me that Moscow is not ready, Putin is not ready to meet in the Normandy format, not expecting any progress on this issue.
