Mikheev: “Yeltsin’s” conspiracy is brewing in the depths of the Russian elite
There is a conspiracy within the Russian elite against President Vladimir Putin. Those who expected him to be a manageable and problem-free head of state were mistaken and now want to roll back everything to the model of the early 90s.
Political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Nevzorov, Navalny – these are all episodes. I believe that within Russia, within the Russian ruling class, within the Russian official structures of power, among other things, there is some kind of deep-level conspiracy. It exists, otherwise it is very difficult to explain Navalny’s invulnerability, the longevity of “Echo of Moscow”, the strange fate of the same Nevzorov, who was Putin’s confidant, and now he is pouring water on everyone, and so on, and so on.
I think that's the point. So, at one time they brought Putin to power, they hoped that there would be no problems with Putin. But suddenly they appeared. With all the questions that Putin has, he decided to take a stand and at some point say that “I will have power, because I am the president.”
There has been a fairly obvious strengthening of the security component, there has been some success in reforming the army, and many do not like it. Throwing him off by force or by pressure is quite dangerous - they might shoot something off in the process.
But the goal is to put him in absolutely unacceptable conditions so that he will either naturally or unnaturally give up power. And return the situation conditionally to the Yeltsin format,” said Mikheev.
