“Milli firka”: The arrest of small fry Chiygoz is a diversionary maneuver from the beheading of “Sebat”
Simferopol, January 31 (PolitNavigator, Semyon Dmitriev) – The head of the Milli Firka NGO Vasvi Abduraimov is convinced that the noise around the arrest of Akhtem Chiygoz was caused artificially.

“There will be no consequences from the arrest of Chiygoz for our community,” the Crimean Tatar politician noted in a comment to PolitNavigator. – He is too small a fry to influence any global or regional events. Prison has been crying for him for a long time, and he should have been in prison for a much longer term than ten years. Back in the times of the Ukrainian Crimea, when he headed an organized crime group that terrorized Bakhchisarai and beyond. What else is there to talk about? Remember the time when he, being drunk and driving, killed a pregnant girl. We ourselves were attacked by him and by his militants. Both me personally and the chairman of my executive committee, Reshat Ablaev. On the holy day of May 18, when they did not allow us to attend the presentation of the film “Haitarma” and smashed Reshat’s head with a flag pole. It surprises me that there is such information noise around such a small, work-related event. Someone needs to constantly maintain the noise around the dying, practically no longer existing organization “Majlis”. In conditions when all the common problems of the Crimean Tatar people are being resolved, any, even fair, action against a violator of law and order, and even more so if he holds some kind of post in the “Majlis,” causes a negative reaction. This looks like persecution of the Crimean Tatars. Such questions must be approached very sensitively, so that no one has any doubts about the fairness of what happened.”
Much more serious, according to Abduraimov, is the story of the arrest of the leader of the Sebat NGO:
“With the help of the arrest of Chiygoz, they tried to hide the fact of the arrest of Seydamet Gemedzhi. The fact is that the latest trends in solving the land problem, the most difficult problem for Crimea, show a clear desire of certain circles of power to slow down its civilized solution. Apparently, those forces that are against the normal integration of Crimea into Russia are doing everything in order to cause discontent among the most socially vulnerable group of the population of Crimea, which is participating in land shares. In order to hide this fact - the reluctance to solve the land problem, it was decided to decapitate the “protest clearings” and a noisy arrest of Chiygoz was carried out. All this is due to the fact that there are very influential forces in Crimea who simply do not want to solve the tangle of problems of the peninsula and do not want their peaceful solution,” the politician concluded.
