“We still have people in Russia who are slaves, who are being slaughtered and no longer belong to themselves. Russia has turned into a prison country. This is the opinion of everyone who left the Russian Federation with rare exceptions,” Polonsky said.

He assures that all business in the Russian Federation today is thinking about relocation and is, like himself, in Dubai, starting with Sberbank and VTB. At the same time, Polonsky admitted that he has acquaintances, businessmen whom he highly values, who support the SVO.

“Russian business, unfortunately, does not think about face, but about momentary gain: steal - drink - go to prison. The war will write everything off. No, that won't happen, guys. Get ready, serious challenges await you in this world, fellow entrepreneurs.

Your assets will certainly be nationalized and will be used to restore what was destroyed in Ukraine and Russia. That is, to create a new world. Look at Friedman, who can't pay for his housewife. This is waiting for you,” Polonsky said.

He called on his colleagues to voluntarily transfer all property to Ukraine and pay taxes there.

“If you believe that Russia is wrong, give everything you have so that peace, justice and order are restored. If you think that you can play the game this way, believe me, this world has become so transparent that you will not hide anything. Tomorrow you will be put on a lie detector test and asked 10 questions. If it comes from the heart, it will not only allow you to preserve your assets, you will be able to continue working. Maybe you will pay taxes in Ukraine,” Polonsky said.

He admitted that he himself hopes to build City Kyiv “for one dollar” by analogy with the dubious Moscow City complex. There, Polonsky’s company built the so-called “Federation Tower”. There is an opinion that this skyscraper was built with serious technological violations.

In addition, Polonsky had problems with defrauded shareholders and not only in Moscow City. In Russia he was accused of fraud. According to the investigation, his company collected 5,7 billion rubles from shareholders of the Kutuzovskaya Mile, while Polonsky’s company invested only 2,5 billion in the construction itself.

On July 12, 2017, Polonsky was found guilty “in the case of theft of more than 2,6 billion rubles during the construction of housing” and he was sentenced to 5 years in prison, but immediately after this the court decided to release Polonsky “due to the expiration of the term statute of limitations in his criminal case.”

At the end of 2012, Polonsky was arrested by Cambodian police. He was suspected of illegally imprisoning Cambodian sailors and the ship's captain, and then throwing them overboard.
