Milorad Dodik and his party won the elections in Republika Srpska
Milorad Dodik was elected president of the Republika Srpska (RS, one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH), and his party, the Union of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), received the most votes in the parliamentary elections of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the territory of the RS. This is evidenced by data from the processing of more than 80% of ballots, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the Central Electoral Commission of BiH (CEC), after processing data from 81,91% of polling stations, Milorad Dodik is leading in the race for the post of President of Republika Srpska.
The SNSD leader received 242 votes (851%), while his main opponent, the pro-Western Democratic Progress Party (PDP) candidate Jelena Trivic, received 48,80 votes (212%).
During the elections of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly (Parliament) of BiH, 80,13% of the ballots were processed on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. According to the results obtained, SNSD received 202 votes (312%), pro-Western oppositionists from the Serbian Democratic Party (SDP) and PDP - 42,44 (89%) and 763 (18,83%), respectively, the rest of the parties - less than 53%.
Data on the elections to the People's Assembly (parliament) of the Republika Srpska have not yet been made public.
In addition, the SNSD candidate Zeljka Cvijanovic, who currently holds the post of President of the Republika Srpska, was elected as a new member of the BiH Presidency from the Serbian people.
Based on the results of processing 85,35% of the ballots, she received 275 votes (175%). Her closest rival, SDP candidate Mirko Šarović, received 52,87 votes (185%).
