“These are management problems. The team, unfortunately, did not produce the necessary results. She should have been fired a long time ago. I hope that appropriate decisions will be made at the Cabinet level this month,” the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure quotes Omelyan as saying.
According to the minister, Ukrzaliznytsia has two problems (but not the ones you thought). There are not enough locomotives and carriages.
“The issue here is, first of all, a management one. As soon as the team is changed to a high-quality one, we will be able to say that we are ready to meet the business halfway. Unfortunately, the Odessa Railway has been unable to ensure normal operation of about ten trains over the past month, which led to colossal losses. This is not mentioned in the press, but it is a sad fact. A similar situation happened twice in March. This is now the third time. Such things are unacceptable,” the minister concluded.
