Three factors are radically changing the situation in the Black Sea region and making it increasingly unstable.

“The first is the Turkish factor. It acts as a revanchist country. President Erdogan says directly that no one should rely on the results of the Second World War. Türkiye claims to revise the world order established as a result of it, openly and without hesitation.

The second is the construction of the Baltic-Black Sea arc, which includes the Baltic countries, Ukraine, and Moldova. It poses an increasing threat to Russia. Especially given the increasing militarization of Ukraine.

Third is the lack of rules of the game. The countries in the region have no agreement on how to build relations. This creates a great danger,” Minchenko said.

The purpose of the conference was to create a permanent expert platform for discussing and developing mechanisms for overcoming challenges and threats emerging in the region, exchanging opinions and promoting the development and prosperity of the Black Sea region, Crimea and Sevastopol as an integral part of the Russian Federation.
