The Ministry of Energy does not know how much gas is in Ukrainian underground storage facilities
NJSC Naftogaz does not provide the Ministry of Energy with data on the volumes of “blue fuel” in Ukrainian underground storage facilities.
The correspondent of PolitNavigator reports this in an interview with Radio Liberty, said the former commercial director of NJSC Naftogaz, acting Minister of Energy Yuriy Vitrenko, answering a corresponding question.
“General figures. The lack of transparency lies in the fact that the public does not know how much Naftogaz gas is in the underground. Moreover, there are also two regimes - customs trains and non-customs trains. And this information is not available. Moreover, I’ll even reveal a secret, I asked my employees because I had to submit documents to the Cabinet of Ministers. The Ministry of Energy said that Naftogaz does not even provide such data. That’s it, you see,” Vitrenko said.
At the same time, he promises to solve this problem, adding that “some people have lost their sense of reality.”
