The Ministry of Defense deprives the family of a deceased ATO participant of an apartment
Ivano-Frankivsk, October 28 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is trying to deprive the widow and two children of the chief of staff of the 5th Terrestrial Defense Battalion, Yuriy Baran, of the promised apartment, who died in the ATO zone.

Despite the fact that local authorities are ready to help solve the family’s housing problems, the Ministry of Defense cannot confirm that Yuri Baran was on the housing waiting list.
According to the chairman of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration Oleg Goncharuk, “some strange things are happening” around the officer’s family.
“There is some kind of incomprehensible position of the Ministry of Defense - they interpret that the Baran family is provided with housing and is not on the housing queue. Yes, the Baran family has housing, but we should not forget how it is - this housing is official and the conditions are not appropriate for the hero’s family to live in,” the publication quotes the official as saying. "Firtka".
“If this issue is not resolved there, I gave my word that Baran’s family will be provided with housing. The family will receive a warrant in December. The apartment will be purchased with funds from the Regional State Administration,” the governor noted.
The Regional State Administration calls officials from the Ministry of Defense bureaucrats, since the paperwork has been going on since the beginning of July. In the summer, the ministry even refused to issue the wife of the deceased with a certificate of her husband’s death in the combat zone.
