The American minister was afraid of the protests of Ukrainian doctors
Acting Minister of Health of Ukraine Ulyana Suprun was frightened by the announced protests by doctors, which they are going to hold in Kyiv during the Verkhovna Rada’s attempt to adopt the so-called “medical reform”.

In her blog, Suprun called on medical workers not to go to protests, saying that their meager salaries are not due to a bad government, but allegedly due to the lack of reforms.
“The entire team of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Government agrees 100% that you deserve decent wages. But you know better than we do that the problems in the healthcare sector, its financing and the salaries of doctors are such not because of the reform that we are trying to carry out, but because it has not yet been carried out... The government is able to minimize the arrears of wages for doctors . Today I signed the corresponding draft order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which will be promptly adopted at one of the regular government meetings. This will happen regardless of the actions in the capital that you are encouraged to attend,” Supun said, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
