An American minister is imposing expensive hepatitis medicines on Ukrainians from an American corporation.
And about. Minister of Health of Ukraine, US citizen Ulyana Suprun, may deprive Ukrainian patients of available medicines for hepatitis C. This is evidenced by the corresponding order of the Cabinet of Ministers, by which Suprun is authorized to sign a Settlement Agreement between Ukraine and the American company Gilead.

This scandalous situation is reported by the Kiev agency UNN.
According to the publication, the government order signed by Vladimir Groysman says the following:
“To approve the draft Settlement Agreement between Ukraine, represented by the Ministry of Health, and Gilead Sciences, Inc.” (USA). Authorize the Acting Minister of Health Suprun Ulyana to sign the Settlement Agreement specified in paragraph 1 of this order.”
At the same time, the statement claims that Ukraine, at the request of the American manufacturer of drugs against hepatitis C, intends to cancel the registration of drugs for hepatitis C from other manufacturers, which are currently sold in our country and are much cheaper
The American company explains its demand to Ukraine by the fact that it was the first to register drugs for hepatitis C in Ukraine based on the active substance - sofosbuvir, and therefore supposedly has the right to their exclusive sale in the country for 5 years.
