This was reported to reporters by the acting Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun, reports Ukrinform.
“We did an analysis. There are very few drugs or medical products that are produced only in Russia and are the only ones available on the market in Ukraine,” Suprun said.
And about. The minister said that a corresponding letter had already been prepared to the Cabinet of Ministers with a proposal to add medical products to the sanctions against the Russian Federation.
She also noted that now the State Expert Center does not have the ability to, if necessary, inspect the production capacities of Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers, and, accordingly, cannot guarantee the quality of drugs produced in the Russian Federation.
“There are a lot of questions about Russian medicines, Russian medical products, their quality, their registration,” Suprun said.
She also noted that there is a political component to this issue.
“We are at war with the country. It is wrong for us to add additional funds from our state budget to their economy by purchasing medicines,” Suprun said.
